What is a color correction? The answer is, “That depends.” If you want to lighten your hair overall, fix a problem, have several colors creating a banded look horizontally from root to end…these are examples of color correction. It takes time, patience, money, product, time…did I mention time? You can plan on hours at a time. Literally…hours. It’s a slow, painstaking process that bears HUGE rewards. The issue is the internet and time-lapse photography. What you see in pictures and on You Tube has cut out 4, 5, 6 or more hours of time in my chair, and your expectations are out of alignment with what really has to happen to get you from point A to point Z. A thorough consultation is a MUST! Aligning expectations, price, goals and time need to be determined before any work is done. It will pay off for you in the end. Bring pictures, but remember that lots and lots of pictures have either been enhanced or altered and the people in the pictures have a huge team of ‘people,’ to make each and every frame look perfect. They also use extensions and hair pieces to add density and length.
